Snowflake in a Blizzard

brain stem jumping at random bugs like a lizard
single focused thought an illusion
no way out of this self delusional confusion
gimme something strong
coffee, sex, tequila or smoke wafting from a bomb
gimme something wrong
anything to take away the slap, the sting, the fear of the relentless
from the bank statement, from the projections, from the depression
from the news, so old but just a form – fill in the blank
eight letters spelling out the coming collapse
starts with death
reason already a victim of the limbic psyops
for the markets the universe monitized
You want proof?
the melting, the endless sloppy proof
dripping into pools of single focused thought.
survival? is that all we have left?
Is that the mission statement for the new millennia?
when, oh when is the time of salvation’s arrival
not the biblical, not the mythical, but actual
mindful moment when being in any situation
is the buzz
we are human, higher apes with the ability to end all life on this planet
raga rocks the human hubris humility atrophied
polls show hubris scoring higher than proud humility
just another species in the flow and ebb
countless dew drops like jewels on a spider web
wet fly struggling in the sticky necklace
everything a trap for the poor lizard
flying through life on a melting snow flake
what sense of this life can we make?
